There are so many great places on Maui to get married. But after coordinating Maui weddings over the last eight years here in Hawaii, we have found that the most popular place where people want to have their Maui wedding is on one of our incredible beaches.

Believe it or not, there are about 184 miles of sandy shoreline in Hawaii. And one of the big reasons why half of the tourists who come to get married in Hawaii end up on Maui is that we have so many romantic beaches here on “the valley isle.” West and South Maui has more than twice as many miles of white sandy beach shoreline as compared to any other island in Hawaii. That’s just one of the reasons we believe Maui to be the best of the best.

Because we have so many great Maui beaches facing into the west, they are perfect for sunset Maui beach weddings. Actually, as a company, Maui Me prefers to perform our weddings at sunset rather than any other time of the day. The light is always so much more dramatic for your Maui wedding photography, the temperature is not as hot (as mid day), and the chances of having to work around other people on the beach is usually much lower at sunset.

Did you know that a few years ago, Wailea Beach on the South side was declared (by one worldwide beach expert) as the best beach in the world? Kapalua Bay beach on Maui’s west side was actually named the world’s most beautiful beach by Conde Nash Travel magazine for three years in a row. While these Maui beaches are great, we do very few weddings on them because of crowded conditions.

Kapalua Bay is a favorite snorkel beach and there condos surrounding this small bay; there are also often many weddings at the location. And Wailea Beach, while beautiful, also has several resort hotels emptying onto its white sands, so that it is often crowded with bathers.

Actually, we have several beaches that we use on a regular basis which we feel are superior even to these “world ranked” Maui beaches. That’s what’s so exciting about having Maui beach weddings here. We just have so many beautiful places to choose from you are not likely to be disappointed.

Our favorite beaches are secluded, with a long stretch of sand leading up to a rocky outcropping which most often have one or more palm trees framing the scene. We choose these beaches because we want your Maui wedding photography and videography to be super. And these beaches have better than average conditions for photography.
