Price Increase for all Maui Weddings: Book at the Old Prices

Maui Sunset Wedding Couple2Yesterday I went to a Maui Wedding Association meeting at which I heard the latest information about of our ongoing negotiations with the County of Maui and the State of Hawaii about new regulations that the government will be laying down upon our industry.

Unfortunately, we discovered that while we can continue doing weddings on the beaches of Maui; the bad news is that wedding companies will be incurring about a thousand dollars in annual fees to continue performing those weddings on the beach.

Like all businesses faced with raises to our costs, we know that we will have to raise our prices to compensate for these new expenses. Because we have also been hit with a lot of price increases lately from our vendors, it becomes important that we raise our prices just to stay where we’re at.

We are now shooting almost all of our weddings with digital photography, which adds a lot more time and work for us, but gives superior results. And our package prices were really set up for 35mm photography, not digital. Most Maui wedding photographers charge more for digital because it takes more time on the computer to work on those images then just dropping off your film at a lab.

We will be rearranging our Maui wedding packages so that we give a little more photography in the higher packages which will help compensate for our increase in prices.

If you’ve checked around on the net, you probably already know that our prices are lower than most of other Maui weddings companies, while our service is second to none. Raising our Maui wedding package prices will bring us up closer to the other Maui wedding planners (assuming they do not raise their prices — which I would doubt).

But the really good news for those who are considering booking their Maui weddings with us, is that we will not be raising our prices for at least a month. So if you hurry, you can still make your plans and get your Maui wedding for the current prices.

Our price change will not effect anyone who has booked before the increase goes into effect. Even if you have not paid off your wedding, your price will stay the same. But if you haven’t booked yet, now is the time to start talking about your plans together to decide if we are the right company for you.
