Maui Weddings at the Grand Wailea
This Maui weddings couple was actually married several years ago. If you notice the waterfall behind them, you might be wondering where that photo was taken.
Actually, it was taken in front of the Grand Wailea Hotel Resort and Spa where they have a huge man-made waterfall. The couple was married on the beach, but we stopped by the waterfall and took a quick shot of them in front of the falls. Unfortunately, if you are not staying at the Grand Wailea Resort, you are not really allowed to shoot photos in front of the waterfall any more.
One other thing that I should mention is that this waterfall is right by the road leading into the Grand Wailea Resort, so it is not a place where an actual Maui wedding could be performed. But it does make for a great backdrop for your Maui wedding photography.
But couples who are staying at the Resort, even if they are not getting married on the grounds, are often allowed to shoot their pictures on the grounds. As you can see in this photo, Rob and Tricia were allowed to use the expansive grounds of the Grand Wailea for their Maui photography.
They were actually married on the beach, but we were given permission to take romantic photography all over the grounds because they were staying at the Resort. We have certainly taken advantage of this opportunity with many of our couples. We also recommend staying at this marvelous property if for no other reason that the grounds are an awesome place to do romantic Maui wedding photography.
