Maui Weddings Are So Romantic!
I stayed in the car and from a distance, as I watched the bride interact with Susan and her fiance, I would have sworn she was very young. She had that “bounce” and enthusiam which young girls often possess. I could see from a distance that James had grey hair, and so it looked to me that he was marrying someone very young. When I told this to Shannon later, she was all smiles.
Because of a little rain, we changed the beach where we did the wedding. That’s one thing which we try to do, is to be flexible. With a small wedding where we have just the couple with us, we can easily change to a better beach if the weather is better or if the new beach is less crowded.
Here is a note we just received from James and Shannon, that prompted me to write this post:
I just wanted to thank you for making our wedding day so very joyous. The two of you are so delightful and we both really enjoyed the ceremony. Also, I just love the photos! Thanks again for everything. If you’re ever in San Diego, give us a call!Love & light,Shannon RoseI’ve included a couple of photos of James and Shannon in this post so that you can share their joy with them. I also included a few more photos of them in the photo album. You can click on any of the photos and go to the gallery and take a look at some of the other shots I’ve put up.As a Maui Wedding Photographer, I really enjoy shooting digitally. It is so much easier to get good photos, especially when you have a darker, rainy evening (like we did for this wedding) so that you can see if your are getting the proper exposure. We were all excited that we were able to get a good sunset considering it was an unusually gray day in Hawaii. Believe it or not, there are days like that even here in paradise. But they are rare! Really. ;>) Maui’s weather beats anywhere I’ve ever been, especially because we do not have a winter by mainland standards.
James and Shannon were truly a fun couple to work with. They were so much in love and so excited about getting married. We don’t see this with all of our couples, but it is certainly fun for us as Maui wedding planners to encounter.I guess as a Maui wedding minister it is so much easier for me to “play to the crowd” of two when the couple is just waiting on your every word. And that’s what James and Shannon did for me. I love to drag out the final pronouncement, making them wait for those so important words, “I now pronounce you to be . . . husband and wife!”
We truly enjoy doing our Maui weddings, helping to make a couple’s special day a little more romantic.
